DI has corporate offices in Dubai, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq, and employees working on programs in many more countries. Herb said diversity an asset and a strength.

“That’s what makes our country great, and it’s equally important for our company. We have employees all over the world, not only Americans but nationals of many nations. We are a truly global company,” he said.

DI Town Hall Meetings:
Connect with Your Company’s Leaders

Town Hall meetings are broadcast over the Internet
so employees around the world can attend

“I just finished watching the Town Hall meeting via the internet and wanted to provide my reaction, which is overwhelmingly positive! More than anything, this has provided an opportunity for me to formulate an opinion on the senior leadership of the company. I not only now have a better understanding of the intended course of the company, but I have a much better appreciation for the personalities of the men who are leading DynCorp. I especially appreciated Mr. Lanese’s concern for those of us in harm’s way.”

Michael Denham, Instructor — Kabul, Afghanistan

DI Town Hall meetings let us see and hear our company’s leaders talk about their vision and the company’s activities. The meetings are held twice each year and alternate between our headquarters in Virginia and our largest corporate office, which is in Texas. They are broadcast over the Web, so everyone who works for DI can attend – either in person or online.

At last October’s Town Hall meeting, CEO Herb Lanese and two division heads spoke. A consistent theme was the importance of the company’s employees. Herb emphasized that the company’s growth depends on doing the best job, which, in turn, depends on having the best people. He spoke also about the company’s culture.

“We excel at going to really tough places and doing a really good job,” he said. “We do it following the rules, with ethics and integrity.”

He also spoke about our commitment to continuous improvement, not just in terms of company performance but also in helping to make the world better place.

“There are a lot of ways to make money. The best way is to do something you care about – something to improve the lives of others.”
